Welcome to rivers2cross, which is my cancer fundraising and raising awareness website that I set up after my mum died of bowel cancer in 2016. Profits from items in the online shop are donated to various cancer charities including Bowel Cancer UK, Love Hope Strength, The Bowel Movement, The BowelBabe Fund and Cancer Research UK.

Field’s of Dawn are releasing a brand new single on February 21st, 2026. The 7″ vinyl has sold out, but you can still pre-order the CD and t-shirt. The lead track is the uplifting melodic anthem Good Day, with the darker but equally brilliant Out Of Time on the flip side. 100% of all the profits raised by every single sale will be donated to the Love Hope Strength Foundation, the cancer charity co-founded by Mike Peters of The Alarm. Mike died in April after living with blood cancer for 30 years and Love Hope Strength continues to do the amazing work that Mike was so passionate about. Around £325 has already been raised by pre-orders.

The CD has a couple of extra tracks. A cover version of The Alarm’s Thought’s Of A Young Man and the demo version of Good Day. You can pre-order below and all support is greatly appreciated x

Steve ‘Smiley’ Barnard of The Alarm, The Boomtown Rats, Archive, Gene Loves Jezebel and From The Jam to name but a few, is playing drums on both tracks and has mixed the two lead tracks, which has taken the music up yet another gear. I feel it is the best stuff Fields of Dawn has done in the six years it has been going.

MP Red Dragon

2026 sees the long overdue availability of Mike Peters Red Dragons. These dragons are printed with the official poppy silhouette logo used by The Alarm on social media. Thanks to Jules Peters for granting permission.

Mike Peters of The Alarm passed away on April 29th 2025 after a 30 year battle with blood cancer. Together, with his wife Jules, Mike co-founded the Love Hope Strength Foundation, which is a charitable foundation whose purpose is to raise funds and awareness in order to benefit people with cancer and leukaemia. The work of this wonderful charity continues x

THE WARRIOR COLLECTION

This very special Warrior Collection gives you the opportunity to buy some specially created merchandise with the word warrior in Chinese. You can also choose the charity you wish the profits raised by your order to go to. The lion has four options. There is either Warrior or Courage and you can choose whether you want the writing to be in Chinese or English. We all have some warrior in us and it doesn’t have to be down to making massive leaps in your life. It can equally be the smallest of things. I used to refer to Mum as a warrior, and sadly at the moment the cancer community has lost a number of courageous warriors x
