The results of Prince’s biopsy on the tumour came back today, and bearing in mind it’s a pretty big and nasty looking mess on his behind, the news was as good as it could have been. The tumour is benign thankfully. An operation on Monday will hopefully remove the offending object, plus I’m afraid Prince will have to lose his balls, as reducing testosterone is one of the best ways of preventing the tumour growing back and keeping it under control. So fingers crossed Prince is going to be around for a while longer ❤
A new vinyl LP purchase arrived in the post today. The band is Froggy & The Ringes and the album is called Ringe Rock Pond Scum and it has been my listening pleasure tonight whilst eating my dinner. How to describe it? It literally is frog music as you can see from the colour of the vinyl! It’s complete bonkers music. Modern punk at its very best…
Here is a sneak preview of a future fundraising idea. Not many people read these posts, so for those of you that do this is first news of this. It’s a metal pill box with a mirror and 3 plastic compartments inside it and it’s a great way of taking your medication with you when you need it outside the house etc. A few weeks ago I left my medication at work over the weekend, and the lovely Natalie Woodward suggested getting a pill box to help ensure that it didn’t happen again. These metal ones come in various designs and I wondered if it might be something I could do to raise money… I’ve researched Chinese factories and looked for a supplier of small quantities, before eventually discovering the best way to this is to buy the plain tins in the UK and then attached the printed design to it, which is how everyone does them it seems. This week has been an incredibly sad week in the bowel cancer community and the wider cancer community with the death of Dame Deborah James. It is also important to remember that for the many cancer patients this awful disease is with them 24/7 365 days a year. So my design is simple and to the the point and a phrase that is used widely by the cancer community. With this in mind I will probably be donating any funds raised to Cancer Research UK rather than supporting a particular cancer. I’ll be launching this sometime soon, and see how it goes, but I think it looks really impressive. I’d appreciate any thoughts and views x
Today was another busy day. I was in work early to get a full load delivered to a customer outside Slough. I was hoping a delivery of adhesive tape would arrive this morning. However, it didn’t so I am hoping my neighbours were able to accept it this afternoon for me, as once again I made the trip into Henley and spent a lovely if somewhat chilly afternoon down by the river in Henley. It was time to bring out the Union Jack jacket for the first time this year. It always goes down well with lots of compliments, but I have to wear the sunglasses as I can feel people staring at me 🤣 I must admit that all this sitting in deckchairs is knackering! 😆
