With the impending threat of a hosepipe ban, I am thinking the colours in my garden could come to an end a little sooner than I would have liked. One of last shrubs to bloom is my beautiful Hibiscus, which has began to flower over the last week. I have grown this from a tiny plant over the last 10 years or so. It has to be cut back every year as it is growing out across the garden more than upwards!

I have struggled in the kitchen over the last few months. I always feel so tired when I get home which during the week is rarely before 8.00. However, tonight I have a curry on the go and I am hoping it might just give me the impetus to start doing a bit more “proper” cooking in the evenings…
