This was how I spent my lunchtime at work today. With the sheer volume of amazing orders for the Life of Mique teddy bears from you wonderful people, I decided to start printing the shirts. Normally Jocelyn at DMI Embroidery would do this bit, but her work load meant that she wasn’t realistically going to be able to get many done until next week. So a quick tutorial from her and I was away with the printing. I have bought a box full of bears home tonight to dress the bears in the shirts, so tomorrow I can begin posting the first orders. Please bear with me though and I will get them done as fast as I can.

Today has been the first day when orders and website views have calmed down. I actually was beginning to think it was going to be a day of no orders, but tonight there have been some more come in, and the total raised now stands at over £450. The photos don’t really show just how fabulous the glitzy gold looks. I think everyone who has ordered will be very happy 🤞

I survived day one of my manic work period. It was a pretty good day making a decent start on the big job I am doing, as well as a trip out delivering this morning. I won back an order which I lost almost 4 years ago, so that was excellent. One of the reasons why I got it back was service, and the owner of the business remembering dad and preferring to use us if possible. All this means that I am back to starting at 7.30 and finish at 5.00 for a while. I must admit that since the pandemic began I have got used to 4.00 finishes! In music news I was listening to the latest episode of Stereo Underground on BBC Sounds at work and found out that The Wombats released a new album a couple of weeks ago. I’ve always liked them, so I immediately gave it a listen and it’s a great record. Until tomorrow x
