I thought it appropriate tonight to put on my Dame Deborah Rebellious Hope t-shirt whilst recording some vocals for a new track. As far as the music goes I hope that I can sell all 50 vinyl copies of the album when it comes out. I also was hoping that my voice could hold the tune 🤣

In fact, when I laid down the rhythm guitar last night, I tend to sing along while I practice before recording and I was really happy with how it all sounded. Tonight I fired up the recorder and it was as if my voice didn’t have a clue how to sing it at all. I went back to the basics and got a guitar out and just played the track and sang along to it, and yes it was still good. However, I still needed to find away to sing along with the more punky guitar track on my multi-track recorder. This is where a little bit of patience pays off. I went through a whole load of vocal effects on my recorder until I found one that seemed to sound right to me. Add in my vocals effects pedal and I was good to go. I am very pleased with the results so far, and this track will almost certainly now be an extra track for the album.

A New Dawn by my musical project, Fields of Dawn, is already available to pre-order on vinyl ahead of its January 2023 release date. I’ve got to order 50 copies, so I really need to sell them all if I can. Firstly, to raise as much money for the cancer charities as possible, and also to recoup my investment for the vinyls, which will be the best part of £1000. 13 copies pre-ordered so far x The CD and Digital Download pre-orders will start later in the year…
