I was very pleased with myself last night, as I turned 4 lines of lyrics that I had about checking poo into a complete song. Well tonight it really has taken shape and I’ve made excellent progress and it’s sounding good! Guitars and bass all done with a guide drum rhythm beat, which basically leaves just the vocals and the proper drums to go down. At least if people don’t like it the term “shit song” will be very apt 💩 It’s already sounding very different to the acoustic guitar version of last night. Looking a little further ahead I have to decide whether it will be just a stand alone track, in which case it will probably just be available as a download, or record a second track and make it available on CD too, which can be a better way of raising money. A download version could be released in days, whereas CDs usually take a couple of weeks from when the track is finished, which isn’t ideal in terms of the amount of time that would be left of bowel cancer awareness month. Anyway, at the moment I am concentrating on making something that will help spread awareness. For the video I am looking for your “Check Your Poo” photos / videos please x
Today four more charity teddies have been sent out. I have used my new label printer and I’ve switched this batch to Yodel to save on postage costs and maintain what I am able to donate from each sale. We will see how this goes and at least it gives me more postage options going forward.
Work wise I had 13 pallets of boxes arrive today, which once again puts the free floor space (or no free space more precisely) in my unit under real pressure. Half of the boxes are already on the van to go out tomorrow with the balance going out next week. Not impressed with this weather as me and Prince got a drenching this afternoon when a heavy shower blew up from almost nowhere!
What with recording the music tonight, I’ve had no time to do anything else. But I have enjoyed and been really impressed by all the excellent and very creative bowel cancer awareness posts on social media 👏 Until tomorrow xxx
