This afternoon I had my appointment at Dermatology to have the mole on my lip assessed. Both the consultant and the doctor who looked at it couldn’t be sure if it is simply a mole or a stand alone cancer. Normally non-cancerous moles will not be removed by the NHS, which was where I kind of started from with this. However, as there is some doubt the consultant said that it will be removed by way of a shaved biopsy mole procedure. At least then we will know what it is. This might not happen for a few months, but the consultant said there was absolutely no rush or need to worry about it. So the wheels are in motion and hopefully within the next week or two the Urology consultant will call me to discuss the outcome on the team meeting about my complex cyst or cancerous lump downstairs!
I have been extremely fortunate over the last 10 years to meet with some amazing people, especially when it came to writing the two books, Lives & Times and The Record. One such person is Janet Ellis MBE, known for her time on Jigsaw, Blue Peter and even Dr Who. It’s a few days over the 5-year mark since I met her in London. She was just the nicest person and made the whole experience very enjoyable as we talked about her career in television, as an author and life in general.
After my own recent woeful attempt at doing a voice-over for a promotional video for A New Dawn, I decided it was time to ask for some professional help. Janet very kindly was up for the challenge and sent me the perfect vocal for me to use as you can hear on the video. All I need now is for a few more orders to come in 🤞
It’s now just nine days until the Fields of Dawn album is released. I still have 77 Vinyl LPs to sell and around 35 CDs, so if you would like to buy a copy and donate to three special cancer charities I’d be eternally grateful x
