After what has seemed like an eternity since last summer, today I discarded my dark working attire and got out the bright summer shirts. So uplifting to feel summery 😊 The unit is still pretty chilly especially in the mornings, so the fleeces and jacket are still with me for a while longer. Oh and a selfie stick photo with a remote control 🤣

Last night I made significant progress with the new music. I believe I have done one of my best vocals to date with this new track, Sun and Rain. I really thought that I was going to struggle with this one after doing the guide vocal last week, but it just all fell into place and I came out with a strong vocal and hopefully in tune! 😂 So tonight I will start to mix it down. This is exciting as the album is now just one more track away from being finished, and hopefully I can get the cover designed and pre-sales open in the next few weeks.

I was on the receiving end of a lovely act of kindness last night following yesterday’s blog. My good friend Natalie not only came up with the perfect and obvious (I am so stupid 😂) solution for me as far as making sure I don’t leave my medication at work again. Pill box 👏👏 She also gave me some nice moral support after what had been a little bit of a weird couple of days for me. I am feeling much better today and more like my old self again. This of course happens to us all occasionally and no point in me being too hard on myself. But just how lovely can people be whom you meet through the toughest of circumstances in terms of cancer… It’s a very special community. Until tomorrow x
