Mild! It might have been grey and dreary this morning, but for me and working in my unit this is how I like it. It meant a non thermals day for me which I will take quite happily every time, especially as seeing from the forecast it will probably be the only day this week that I don’t need the extra thermal layer.
A couple of fundraising items were sent out today. A Love Hope Strength Snood which was the first snood order in some time, so thanks to Wayne for that. Also a special Kickasskell t-shirt heading to Australia to Kellie, which might give you a clue as to one reason why she ordered one. I met Kellie and Andrew 15 years ago at the Ashes cricket in Sydney and we have remained friends ever since. I stayed with them 4 years later when I went back. I have also met up with them in Paris and Cardiff, and they stayed at my house for the London 2012 Olympics. Great times!
Today something that pleased me probably a lot more than it should have was the arrival of my new card reader. I have had the old one for years and it didn’t have chip and pin, and had stop reading cards. Yesterday a customer at work couldn’t believe me when I asked him to read out the 16 digit number to take payment! This new Zettle reader has all mod cons and I have even got it to sync all my fundraising products from my website, so when I can eventually take my fundraising items to events again it will make selling and taking payments so much quicker and easier. I had a little bit of fun making this short video with the Stop Bowel Cancer Bear and the Kickasskell Bear turning their backs on the old reader and welcoming in the new one…
Tonight for no other reason than to treat myself I picked up a Chinese take-away on the way home. It was delicious and this is all part of my self-care that I am working on. Going back to the positive log type entry, well this would be on there. At the moment I am definitely having more happy moments than I’ve had in a long time. I have a long way to go, but today was another good day. Until tomorrow x
