The postman has been busy today. Firstly at work my very special Strength mini re Treat box arrived from Elysian Botanicals. Lovingly created by Holly, Laura and Natalie, all the profits from sales of these beautiful boxes go to Bowel Cancer UK. The box contains Mini Peace Mist, Strength Aromatherapy Pulse Point Roll On, Mini Relax & Restore Bath Ritual ,Mini Tummy Botanical Tea and Rhyolite. Having received a couple of items at Christmas I am already a massive of Holly’s lovely family business. I must admit the tea might be a challenge for me, as I do like my English Breakfast Tea brew 😊 Check out the elysian botanicals website for more details x
When I got home the second item that I have ordered had arrived. This time a HOPE bracelet, which is one of three bracelets created by Lucy and Natalie with 40% of the profits being donated to Bowel Cancer UK. The Hope, Courage and Still I Rise bracelets are available from Love Ruby Ross. Why has this single man bought a lady’s bracelet? Well you never when I might meet the future Mrs D! 😆 Seriously though, I think it is very important to support others doing amazing things especially during bowel cancer awareness month. I know how grateful I am for all the support that I receive.
The Check Your Poo music release has been out a few days now, and it’s doing ok so far. If you haven’t bought it yet it’s only £1 with all profits from each sale donated to Bowel Cancer UK. It’s now also available on all the streaming platforms, so you can even try before you buy. There can’t be many songs that end with a flushing toilet! I’ve received some cracking photos for the video, but really could do with quite a few more if anyone would like to contribute x
The symptoms of bowel cancer can include:
- Bleeding from your bottom and/or blood in your poo.
- A persistent and unexplained change in bowel habit.
- Unexplained weight loss.
- Extreme tiredness for no obvious reason.
- A pain or lump in your tummy.
Work was a decent day too. A nice big order came in, so the next few weeks are looking good and the busy period looks set to continue into May now. This morning I came across this beautiful sight near to the village of Binsted in Hampshire. It was a quiet back road, so I just stopped the van on this bridge and took the photo from my cab. A stunning and beautiful scene and amazingly only a few hundred yards from the A31 between Alton and Farnham. These next 6-8 weeks are when the countryside looks at its finest each year for me.
I’ve felt much calmer and at peace with myself today. So hopefully that minor brief blip is behind me. One thing I am going to try is to get back to night time reading before bed and turning my lights out earlier. Hopefully that will help keep me more balanced… Until tomorrow x
