It’s always a good day when new music arrives, especially when it involves my favourite band, The Alarm. This new track came out as a free CD for purchases on the band’s website over a certain value, and also as a white 7″ vinyl for people who bought tickets for their annual Gathering event in North Wales next January. It’s a top tune and of course I had to have both! Unfortunately my Christmas order with the CD got lost in the post, so today my replacement copy arrived. As ever the lovely people at thealarm.com couldn’t have been more helpful sorting it out. The Alarm’s 40th anniversary gig next weekend in Cardiff was cancelled a couple of weeks ago due to the Covid restrictions in Wales, so that is now rescheduled for next March. My other gig seeing Steve Norman from Spandau Ballet next month has been put back to the end of September. So next up could be The Alarm in the spring on their UK tour. Over two years it will be by then without me going to see live music, so I am more ready to make a return now. As for the photo that is my glamorous mum and her equally glamorous sister photographed in the 1950s!

This graph charts my progress and improvement with depression and anxiety since I began treatment. Before each CBT session I fill out a questionnaire and as you can see there has been a significant fall in my depression and anxiety. I put this down to the both the CBT sessions and the Sertraline medication. My hope and aim is to keep the improvement going and keep working on it all.

Over the last 4 years my early morning walks with Prince have been severely curtailed due to his 7 slipped discs. The fields at work are really ideal for him. However, this week we have been doing a couple of gentle short road walks around Henley. These are building on the other short road walks he is now able to do. Walking around Henley reminded me of the sights you can see and this morning I captured the church in the distance.

Work was totally baltic again today and no trips out so it was pretty grim inside the unit below zero all day I reckon. A nice order came in this afternoon, which made up for the fact that my bubble wrap delivery didn’t arrive. First world problems I know 🤣

A couple more Gift-A-Bear orders in the last 24 hours, which means that almost £100 has been raised for the various charities so far. I am hoping that some of the bears might arrive at their new homes tomorrow. Tonight is a non-television evening for me. Music is playing… The Best of The Skids. Until tomorrow x
