Today has definitely been a treat day, although not as extravagant as it might first appear. I’ve already been thinking quite a lot about the music I will be doing after A New Dawn has run its course. The idea of using Garageband on a Mac computer has been on mind after having chatted to old band colleague Adam recently. It opens up a lot of possibilities, especially when it comes to collaborating and sharing files etc. I am still going to use my BOSS digital recorder which is a great bit of kit and hopefully the two recording platforms should compliment each other very well.
When I was researching Mac computers I was immediately scared by the cost. Way out of my budget. I thought about maybe investing in a new iPad, but to get the best of of Garageband and music recording in general the computer seems to be the way to go. So I decided to look into refurbished MacBook Air laptops, and this morning I’ve ordered one that dates back to 2015, but comes in at just over £200 as opposed to well over £1000 for a new one today. The spec is what I need, so although it’s a bit of a gamble, my hope is that I got myself a bargain 🤞🤞🤞
