The music equipment was finally fired up in anger today after a couple of months taking a break from it. A couple of days ago I came up with the idea of recording some music under the Fields of Dawn banner to help promote Gift-A-Bear. The lyrics formed in my head and the melody pretty much came at the same time. So I laid down 3 rhythm guitar tracks, a lead guitar, the bass and drums and vocals. It comes in at 7 seconds! The shortest track I have ever done, but I love it. Perhaps I should release it 🤣

Gift-A-Bear

The first Gift-A-Bear photo has arrived. I’ve known Helen, a bowel cancer survivor, for some years now (although we have yet to meet in person) and she has always been a wonderful supporter of my fundraising. Helen came up with the name Cuddles and wanted the profits from her purchase to be donated to the Happy Endings animal charity.

The day started with much milder weather at the dog field. Still some lingering fog, but a few degrees warmer which makes all the difference. Mundane tasks followed like a quick trip to the supermarket, cleaning the cooker and getting sheets washed. However, going back to the fun stuff, I set up a new Echo device which now means I have one in the living room and one in the kitchen synced up so I can listened to the same music as I move between the rooms. Win win win! Until tomorrow x
