I am no angel, so this applies to me as much as to anyone. Kindness is free, and it costs nothing to hand it out in abundance. Judging, on the other hand, is a dangerous game, as who are we to know what is going on in someone else’s life, be it their physical or mental health. Perhaps we should all sometimes take a moment to consider what we are going to say and how our words could impact on others.
I count myself very fortunate to be on the end of an awful lot of kindness, especially on social media. It means the absolute world to me, especially over the last 6 months when I have been coming to terms with so much stuff. The one time recently when someone did presume to judge me on the charity teddy bears, and was basically implying I could be scamming people, was incredibly hurtful. Fortunately, in my case, this was a one off incident and so many wonderful people rallied to my support. It’s upsetting for people, who put themselves out there to help and support others, who are on the end of hurtful comments even if there is no malice intended. Negativity can be so draining… So let’s all try and ramp up the kindness and turn off the judgmental stuff. I hope everyone is having a happy Thursday x
