So here it is my very own little vinyl cutter. The Cricut Joy. I have spent tonight setting it up and trying it out, and I am pleased to report that there were no hiccups and it is absolutely fantastic! This piece of kit works via Bluetooth, so you can create designs on a smart phone or computer. Once I had worked out the correct sizing on a piece of vinyl that came with it, I just jumped straight into using it. I also invested in a little heat press iron like the one I have been borrowing from Jocelyn at DMI Embroidery, and also some basic tools required to weed the vinyl etc. So who knows what the possibilities will be with this…

Here is the first item produced and if I say so myself it’s turned out brilliantly! I have made two of these very special Little Wing teddy bears, which will be part of two packages I shall be offering for sale in the next day or so. Why Little Wing? Well it’s not going to take too much digging to find that out, but the two packages I am putting together are pretty special.

There is something innately pleasing about producing the whole product from start to finish. I think for me in recent times, it’s been really important to celebrate any successes and positives, and this is certainly one of them. It was also another crazy day at work with deliveries arriving nice and early, and a couple of full loads going out in the van, along with a nice pallet wrap order coming in as well. So the good day theme of this week continues. Until tomorrow x
