Today has been a different kind of day. I have had new radiators sitting in my dining room for the best part of a year waiting to be installed. My own fault not organising it, but finally had them installed today along with the boiler getting serviced, so a very good job done, and hopefully more efficient heating for the house. Suddenly my dining room seems to have so much space! This meant working from home today, but I still had to do a panic dash across to work to accept a delivery that I didn’t know was coming.
A new Gift-A-Bear photo arrived today from Laura @an_idiots_guide_to_cancer_ who I’ve followed on Instagram for a while now. She has been through a huge amount over the last few years with stage 4 bowel cancer including Hipec surgery. Laura does a huge amount to raise awareness about bowel cancer and is generous and exceptionally kind with her support to others. So, she was a very deserving recipient of the Gift-A-Bear from Lisa who lives in the USA. Lisa is another friend I’ve met through the music of The Alarm.

What I must also add about Laura is that she is an absolute genius at creating videos for Instagram reels. Today she gave up way too much of her time to create this absolute masterpiece Gift-A-Bear video 👏👏
Tonight I met my two great friends from school, Howard and Paul, for a drink at a local pub called The George. Friendships that span over 40 years and we set the world right as you do… When I say drink though, I was on J2O and am now at 15 months without an alcoholic drink. I am looking forward to a drink at some point, but think it is going to have be a pretty special occasion. Answers on a postcard please ☺
Oh and I popped round to drop in a Gift-A-Bear to my Godmother Sybil who is gifting one of the bears to a friend, and she added a vey generous extra bit to her donation. Until tomorrow x
