Another lovely Gift-A-Bear came to fruition with Danielle Slawsby from the USA gifting Honey Bear to Lizzie Hulme in the UK for her birthday. Danielle sent me the following message…
“I met Lizzie during lockdown on a Zoom chat for fans of The Alarm. We have become great friends over the last 6 months via the calls and our personal correspondence. Since this is Lizzie’s 2nd birthday during the pandemic and there is still limited ways to celebrate safely, I wanted to send her a little surprise to brighten her day. I am in US and she is in the UK. I have no doubt that this little bear will have a big impact, not only as a surprise gift and token of friendship, but because the funds will support the Love Hope Strength Foundation – an organization that has meaning to and connects us both. Thank you for making the Gift-A-Bears such a special option that can be sent or donated with the funds going to the sender’s charity of choice. It’s a gift that gives not once, but thrice.”
More Gift-A-Bear news today when I was contacted by a lady in San Francisco who wanted to order a couple of bears for a father and son in the UK. Sadly the dad has terminal cancer, so it’s a lovely gesture at a very tragic time, which I have sorted and sent out straight away.

Gift A Bear In A Blue T-Shirt£20.00 – £75.00
The last couple of days has seen my first mental health challenge since I started treatment. A work situation occurred yesterday which made me feel very anxious initially and the familiar negative feelings and catastrophising the situation sprang up. However, I faced up to my fears and made a couple of phone calls, and also overnight distracted myself using CBT therapy techniques. Quite proud of myself. The work situation is hopefully now on the way to being resolved. In fact work went pretty well today. An urgent order of pallet wrap arrived meaning I was able to fulfil an order for it this afternoon, which now frees up tomorrow for a bubble wrap delivery. So all is well… Until tomorrow x
