The main event today was the launch of the Check Your Poo video. In some ways making the video was more time consuming than recording the music. Getting the support of so many amazing people means the absolute world to me, and without this incredible support this kind of video would not be possible. I would probably have ended up doing a plain lyric video. I really enjoy seeing how people interpret what I ask for. I know that I have nagged a few of you, but I was really keen to get the video finished to get some exposure doing bowel cancer awareness month. Please feel free to share the video far and wide, and I can always send hard copies to anyone who would like to do their own thing re sharing on social media.
I’ve had the basis of the video ready for a few days now, and it really was a case of a final few tweaks today when the last couple of photos arrived, and also modifying the start, which I now think really kicks the video off with a bang! Although the message of blood in your poo is a very serious one, I wanted the video, and the song for that matter, to be upbeat and with some gentle humour. Hopefully I have succeeded… Once I came up the background canvas idea, it pretty much took care of itself, as I just inserted the images as overlays, added some pan movements and adjusted the duration of each clip to fit the length of the song. I’ve had some very kind comments about the video and what I do today, which are so lovely to receive. One thing I would say though is that what I do is the easy part with fundraising and raising awareness. So many of you are going through stuff that I could never begin to imagine x
Sales wise you can buy the download of the track from just £1 on this website or you can buy it and stream it on all the digital music platforms. I knew that this track would not be my first million seller, so my mindset has been very focussed on the raising awareness aspect, but for anyone who does buy it, the money raised goes to Bowel Cancer UK. There are some incredible projects being done for bowel cancer awareness month by so many wonderful people. You are all awesome! Until tomorrow x
