I’ve yet to meet sisters, Rebecca Slight and Ceirwyn Sutherland, but they have both been tremendous supporters of my fundraising over the last few years. Rebecca, who is currently in the UK from New Zealand visiting Ceirwyn in London and going to more gigs than I have had hot dinners, sent me this brilliant photo of the complete set of Gift-A-Bears, which they are donating to a care home near Ceirwyn’s home in London in recognition of their mum’s ongoing fight with dementia back in New Zealand.

The idea behind the Gift-A-Bears: Buddy, Cuddles, Honey and Trooper is you choose whatever charity you would like the profits raised by your purchase to go to. In this case the profits have been donated to Dementia UK. It’s also means you can buy a teddy, without having to have the bear associated with cancer for example. I received an order today for exactly that reason, and with the profits going to Bowel Cancer UK.
I wasn’t recording music tonight, as I am waiting on something special for the final track of the album. So, in the meantime I am getting the other 9 tracks all set up for the album master. Tonight, I re-mastered a couple of the tracks. I haven’t had a chance to compare my efforts tonight with the originals, but it was something I wanted to try out. The current pre-sales total of the vinyl edition stands at 10, so I have my sights of selling another 40 copies of the vinyl. All support greatly appreciated. All profits raised by the album will be donated to three cancer charities. Bowel Cancer UK, Love Hope Strength and The Bowel Movement x
