So today I will begin with a cryptic photo puzzle… Your starter for 10 is guessing what links the three photos? Gift-A-Bears, Freya North and her latest novel Little Wing. The answer will be revealed in the not too distant future. I met Freya, who is an Ambassador for Bowel Cancer UK, back in 2015 for my Lives & Times bowel cancer charity book and she really is one of the nicest people. Tonight I am planning on making a start on reading her new book and I know once I start I’ll be totally enthralled. This was one of the real joys of meeting all these people for the books as I discovered so many new things and probably got more out of it all than anyone.
Excellent music news today. My sunburst vinyl edition of Carol Hodge’s new album, The Crippling Space Between, has been dispatched. Carol, like so many artists, has experienced long delays in waiting for vinyls to be manufactured, but the wait for us expectant consumers is almost over. Carol has sent out free copies of the download which also come as standard with the vinyl edition, so she really does look after her fans. The album is just amazing and my favourite album of 2021. Anyone who bought the Goodbye Farewell EP at the back end of 2020 will remember Carol’s stunning interpretation of my song. Check our her website https://www.carolhodge.co.uk and get yourself a copy.
My day started at the dentist! I had to have two fillings repaired and as a result of the anaesthetic I had a numb mouth for half a day. Anyway a good job done and thankfully I am with an NHS dentist so it didn’t cost the earth! Afterwards, after getting into work later than usual, I did a few local deliveries, which means that I am now clear tomorrow morning to receive 16 pallets of boxes at 8.00am. Who says packaging can’t be exciting 😅 Until tomorrow x
