Yesterday I asked on social media whether people might be prepared to pay £25 for a vinyl copy of my debut album when it comes out later in the year. I reckon to make back the outlay and make some money for three cancer charities, I will need to sell about 60 vinyls… Over 20 positive responses so far, which makes me inclined to go for it and hope that another 40 people will come on board. I’m not asking for any money at this point, just an indication of yes or no x The album will be raising funds for Bowel Cancer UK, The Bowel Movement and Love Hope Strength.

I’ve been working hard on the recordings recently, so perhaps a couple more songs to do and then I can launch it. Vinyls take about 4 months at the moment, so it will be released towards the end of the year. For anyone wondering the recent Check Your Poo bowel cancer awareness month song will not feature on the album. So it may be shite, but it won’t feature the shite song on it 😄

I now come to another request. The artwork… I could really do with some help with the album cover. I am not artistic when it comes to art, and have muddled through with my releases so far. If anyone can help me with this, please get in touch. Unfortunately because everything I make from sales is donated to the charities I can’t afford to pay for this. There is the option of using the Fiverr app, which I have used in the past, but I’d love to work on this with someone I know x

Tonight I am going to mix a revised recording I’ve made of the Goodbye Farewell song, which was so beautifully recorded 4 times by 4 different artists for a release dedicated to Kelly Smith a couple of years ago. Although I also sneaked out a download release of my own Fields of Dawn version shortly afterwards, I’ve always felt that it had bits that needed working on. So I have gone back and redone the vocals, added backing vocals, put down a new bass track, and changed the drums, so it sounds fresh and a little different. Until tomorrow x
