A couple of firsts tonight. Firstly I cut my first Stop Bowel Cancer vinyl to print one of the small teddies. Secondly this is the first one to be done in red. Normally they are either blue or pink, but I was asked if I could do a red one, and whenever possible I will always try to say yes to such requests. These smaller bears were the original fundraising cuddly toy and they have been sent far and wide all over the globe, and continue to raise awareness about bowel cancer, as well as funds for Bowel Cancer UK.

In other teddy bear news, the enquiry about doing a new fundraising bear looks like it is going to happen sooner rather than later now. I won’t reveal the details until it’s ready to be launched, but I am more than happy to help with these kinds of fundraising ideas.

Another fundraising idea I am working on is a silhouetted design. This was created from a photo I took of Mike Peters from The Alarm playing an acoustic gig in Newbury towards the end of 2019. Funds from items associated with The Alarm I normally donate to the Love Hope Strength Foundation co-founded by Mike and Jules Peters. I need to print this image onto vinyl to see how it looks and whether it is feasible.

A little bit of good hoodie news today is that the fuchsia hoodies for the Life of Mique teddies are back in stock, so you can currently order the hoodie version in red and fuchsia. Blue hoodies remain on back order unfortunately. The white t-shirts are available to be printed in 4 glitter colours, gold, green, blue and burgundy.

The last day of the month at work was spent accepting four big deliveries. They all arrived, which is not always a given, so that frees me up to start getting orders out tomorrow. Always a little bit frustrating when things arrive on the last day of the month, as it doesn’t help this month’s figures, but then next month sales figures will gain as a result, so it’s swings and roundabouts. March is already looking like it will be a reasonably busy month for me, so onwards we go…

Two months into this year, and I am feeling pretty reasonable, especially considering the horrific events that are happening in Ukraine at the moment. I am feeling so much more balanced with renewed enthusiasm for the fundraising and building new friendships. The knock on effect is that I am feeling a lot more positive about my own life. Long may this continue… Until tomorrow x
