Last Friday I went to see The Alarm play live in London. My first gig in over two years and what a fantastic evening it was. Well what is the phrase about all buses coming at once. I have now booked up to see them in Leeds on Friday night, so I will head up north on Friday afternoon and stay with my brother, who will be able to look after Prince for me whilst I go to the gig. It does feel good to feel like I am living a little once again and enjoying life again. I’m also still going to see The Alarm in Oxford the week after next, so three times on the one tour is a pretty decent effort me thinks 😊 I think there is also a little bit of treating myself to something nice and self-care involved here, which I am being a lot better at. It should be a great weekend…
Some days not a lot goes on, and today has been a really quiet one at work. Can having the forklift truck inspection and service count as excitement? I doubt it 😂 I even managed to finally get myself out of bed on time for the first time in ages this morning. Recently I have been sleeping a lot better. In part down to the amazing Peace Pillow Mist I am using from Elysian Botanicals, and also to going to bed a little earlier and generally being in a much better place. As a result I have been finding it hard to get out of bed in the mornings. Today I got my derriere in gear and was in work just after 7.00 which was earlier than my normal 7.30 target time.
Bubble wrap! I was expecting a lorry of the stuff to arrive today, but only when I chased the transport company late this afternoon did they inform me it was coming tomorrow instead now! They had called yesterday and booked it in for today, so I was not impressed. With smaller deliveries on pallets I don’t always have to be here to receive it, but with the bubble wrap I have no choice. It better had arrive tomorrow…
Tonight I will finish packing the rest of the Kindness Vs Cancer teddy bear orders, and will be right up to date. Such has been the popularity of the bears that another batch of them is due to arrive tomorrow. I’m guessing that around 200 teddies have been sold so far this year, which is staggering and thank you for all the support. Onwards we keep on going… Until tomorrow x
