The hydrangea cuttings from Mum’s plant have now been in the pot kept in my kitchen for two and a half weeks. The good news as you can see from the two photos is that they are still looking healthy and growing. I’m really hoping that these will take, and even if it means keeping them indoors until next year I’ll do whatever I think might work. In other growing news, this year for the first time I am going to attempt some veg as well. I’ll talk more about this soon, but there is a huge nostalgic connection to Dad when it comes to growing vegetables.
It’s been quite rare over the last couple of months to be right up to date with all the teddy bear orders, but I have got there once again and am fully up to date which is great. Anyone associated with bowel cancer in the UK to any degree will know that in two days time bowel cancer awareness month starts. Most years I am all geared up with some kind of fundraising push or product to raise funds, but this year I am taking a more relaxed approach. It might well be that I come up with something during the month, but I’m not putting myself under any pressure to do so. I’ve had a terrific start to the year in terms of raising money, and perhaps it’s just time to take the foot off the gas for a bit. This is good progress for me, and perhaps a sign that I am achieving a much better balance in my life. Nevertheless I’ll certainly be raising awareness, so the April journal posts will be full of bowel cancer stuff.
Bubble wrap! Well today’s update is that the delivery of 49 bundles arrived kind of… Only 34 on the lorry. How the haulier can lose 15 packs is beyond me, but that is a problem for them and my supplier to sort out. Thankfully the size I was most in need of was on the lorry, so not quite the disaster it might have been. Until tomorrow x
