A Facebook memory popped up today from the period following’s Mum’s death when I would occasionally look back on happy times. The photo of me and her was taken in her back garden in May 2013 just before we departed for a family wedding in Banbury. What I always liked about this photo was that this was Mum shortly after 3 major surgeries in 6 months at the age of 76! She would always bounce back with such amazing strength x Mum always was able to look so elegant with the best of them 😍

The other photo I took of myself this morning. I’m not sure how kind the last 9 years have been to me, certainly a few grey hairs even with the shorter hair. However, I feel like I am much more at peace with myself than I have been in a very long time.

Finally… A massive congratulations to the England Lionesses today for their amazing achievement. I take my hat off to all those women who have been part of the women’s game over the years and the sacrifices they’ve made that has helped this current team achieve what they have today. To the supporters who have followed the women’s game over the years, and been part of those small attendances you deserve to take the plaudits for your support and commitment to the game. May it be the springboard to greater things for the women’s game…
