Today I brought Bluebell into work with me. This was her second visit as I try to prepare her for our 10-mile Love Hope Strength beach hike in less than 3 weeks time. On her visit visit it took her a while to settle and also to get her into the van. This time there was a noticeable difference. She was happy coming into the unit and jumped up into the van with no problems. She enjoyed our trip out locally this morning and has loved the walks she has been on during the day! As you can she may have been alert earlier in the van, but exercise has left her snoozing away quite content. The other challenge was to get her to have a wee at work. Last time she simply wouldn’t go all day! Today I switched over to a longer extendable lead, which proved to be successful as with that extra freedom she immediately did the business. I felt like I had scored the winning goal in the cup final! 😂

At the weekend we got to over 4 miles on her daily walk. Although the hike is 10 miles, it won’t be a non-stop march so I am already pretty confident that her preparation is going to plan and that she will be able to cope with the distance. Me on the other hand… 😂

Prince is absolutely fine. He is having a day at home today and will be back in tomorrow x
