Fantastic to see Neil Barker on top of Mount Snowdon during bowel cancer awareness month with his stop bowel cancer bear. Neil was diagnosed with bowel cancer aged 41, and he does a tremendous amount to help raise awareness about bowel cancer, as well as being a volunteer trainer at Bowel Cancer UK.
Neil posted about Snowdon on social media, and his support for the stop bowel cancer bears is really appreciated. He said, “bowelcancerbear got all excited on top of Wales today! Because he has made a difference! #beatingbowelcancertogether #bowelcancerawarenessmonth and says there are many more like him waiting for a ‘forever home’ isn’t that right @timbodarv Rivers2cross.com is where to go, all profits go to @bowelcanceruk #snowdon #CarneddUgain #snowdonia”
I’m really glad that Neil took his bear up Snowdon, as it brought back memories of my own hike up the mountain in 2014 with a group of friends to raise funds for Beating Bowel Cancer. It was an amazing experience, and something I would hope to do again someday.
There are so many things that you can do with a stop bowel cancer bear. A great, and fun way, to raise awareness about bowel cancer.
