I had the pleasure of meeting Annette and Ulrik Thivissen in Llandudno at the weekend at the annual Gathering to see The Alarm. They travelled over from Germany, and picked up a #bowelbear who they have named Dylan. I have received a letter from Dylan describing his journey back to his new home in Germany.
“Hello Tim, My name is Dylan. I had a really long day yesterday because a long, long journey had to be done: First by train, and then with something with wings, flying higher than the clouds. I was too scared to come out of the bag, because all the people talked in a very strange language too. After that, my Mum took me into the car. And image what happened: they drove on the wrong side of the road all the time! At home something brown and small jumped at Mum for nearly half an hour, barking and looking for cuddles. I think she was missed a lot over the last few days. But now this small bundle of fur has calmed down, and I’ve also made friends with the football mascots on the sofa. A good place to rest before new adventures will start. Dylan xxx”
All proceeds raised from sales are donated to Bowel Cancer UK. I am fundraising in memory of my mum who died from this awful disease in 2016. Annette’s mother-in-law died a couple of years ago, and her father is a bowel cancer survivor.
