Firstly, I’d love to be posting photos of what happened today, but I have to wait for official permission, so for the time being here’s the story of what happened today… Yesterday I came up with the idea, based on previous photos taken with the cuddly animals, that it would be a great idea to

There were actually quite a few things that I could write about today, but the news tonight of Deborah James becoming a Dame is simply the best. In an era when the public lose faith in the honours list, when stuff appears to be handed out to mates as a matter of course, this honour

The support over the last couple of days for the Bowelbabe Teddy Bears has been truly amazing, and exceeded anything that I could possibly have hoped for. The kindness and generosity of people has been incredibly special, something that I will never forget. It mirrors the support for the Bowelbabe Fund nationally, and Deborah quite

The news about the deterioration in Deborah James’s health is utterly devastating. The love and high regard that she is held in by so many people has never been in doubt and the incredible sum raised for the Bowelbabe Fund she has set up during its first 24 hours is testament to just how loved

This is one of my favourite places at work. It’s a 10-15 walk up through the woods. A pretty steep incline, hence the reason for my out of breath video on social media earlier. I used to walk Prince and his mum, Storm, up the hill pretty much every lunchtime. Note to myself… Get fit!!

After a couple of quiet weeks, I had a couple of charity teddy bears to make up today at work. That was my lunchtime activity. One is now en route to its new home. The other one I am awaiting payment for. This happens from time to time. I have to wait because sometimes people

Tonight at 7.00pm myself and many many other people lit a candle for Bowel Cancer UK’s Remember Together during bowel cancer awareness month. I dedicated this to my mum, who died of this awful disease in 2016. In all honesty though I think about her every day, but recently I have felt able to move
