Anyone who has bought my new book will be familiar with Kelly Smith. This remarkable and inspirational young woman is living with stage 4 bowel cancer, and not only does her story feature in the book, but she very kindly wrote the foreword for it as well. It is for me is one of the real highlights in the book where Kelly spoke so movingly about bowel cancer and the importance of raising awareness, and also helping to prevent others from going through what she has been through, and continues to do so…

Today Kelly found out that she has been accepted onto a trial, which if successful could give her the best outcome of the treatment paths available to her at the moment. She has been travelling back and forth to London from Cheshire over the last couple of weeks for tests to see if she if she fitted the strict criteria for the trial. And today she heard that she has been accepted and starts on Monday.
