LHS bear Louie made his volunteering debut at the Frank Turner gig in Cleveland USA. I met Jennifer (left) and Nancy (right) on my recent trip to New York to see The Alarm. On my return I posted a bear to Jennifer, and so here is Louie.
Jennifer and Nancy do volounteer work for Love Hope Strength, and they were joined by Jennifer’s son for this one. They get people to do a quick and easy swab, to become a potential blood stem cell donor and perhaps save a life. Love Hope Strength Foundation as a charity promotes innovative, music related, outreach and awareness programmes for leukaemia and cancer sufferers, survivors and their families. The charity raises awareness and recruits potential donors to the organ and bone marrow registers.
LHS bear Louie apparently enjoyed the Frank Turner show, which is not surprising as Frank is a superb live artist. The teddy bears are available to buy from rivers2cross.com and all proceeds raised from sales are donated to the Love Hope Strength Foundation.
