The beauty of writing music is taking time. Sometimes I can’t write a song for love nor money, and then sometimes I have a creative spurt. Coming into this year and deciding to step back from the fundraising for a while switched my attention back onto the music and songwriting. My intention is to release some more fundraising material this year under the Fields of Dawn banner, but at the same there is no rush and I can continue to develop songs whilst giving myself and everyone a break from the fundraising.

In the last few days I have written two new songs, and I was so excited that in both cases I made very short rough demos of the choruses. I am thinking that the next release will be for the Love Hope Strength Foundation founded by Mike Peters of The Alarm. At this stage I am not sure how many songs and what formats. I’d love to release something on vinyl if it was financially viable. But those are questions for another day. In the meantime I will keep working on the songs and think about how I will arrange them, and whether I might need to ask for some guest vocalists 😊
