I don’t have too many memories of Mum captured on video, but this one from a few years ago is a bit of a classic. For those of you who never met her and who wonder about the woman I bang on about for my fundraising then here she is in her full glory on Dickinson’s Real Deal.

I can’t remember exactly when this was, but perhaps a year or two before she died. Mum decided to sell off some on the family silverware when she found out they were filming just down the road. I think she would probably have put the money towards her annual Greek Island hopping holiday she went on with her friend Anne.

It reminds me a little of why I do the fundraising as it shows what bowel cancer has taken from us. Sometimes I feel somewhat detached, and like the whole bowel cancer thing happened to someone else, so this serves as a gentile reminder and more importantly brings back happy memories.

Much missed, but a bit of a legend I think you have to agree x
