These cute reindeer #14 are raising funds for the Love Hope Strength Foundation. The charity was co-founded by Mike Peters, the lead singer with The Alarm, who has lived with cancer for 20 years.
“Love Hope Strength Foundation as a charity promotes innovative, music related, outreach and awareness programmes for leukaemia and cancer sufferers, survivors and their families. The charity raises awareness and recruits potential donors to the organ and bone marrow registers.”
I have been a fan of The Alarm since 1983, and in recent times I have been looking for ways to support the charity to go alongside my bowel cancer fundraising. The reindeer make an ideal Christmas present for both children and adults, and the idea behind them is to help raise awareness about Love Hope Strength, also to raise some money for the charity, and not forgetting to have some fun with them over the festive period. To date the #14 Reindeer have raised over £300 for Love Hope Strength.
I have already received some wonderful photos of the #14 Reindeer, and I am looking forward to seeing what other photos are taken over the next couple of months, and over Christmas.
I have to thank Paul Pedersen for the name Reindeer #14. Fans of The Alarm will be familiar with the band’s ‘Thirteen Dead Reindeer’ track, so it’s good to be able to reveal that the fourteenth reindeer is alive and well.
The reindeer come in either red or green and cost £12.99. All proceeds raised are donated to Love Hope Strength. Please click here to order one.
