For Christmas this year I shall be releasing No Man’s Land from the Fields of Dawn album, A New Dawn, as part of a special 3-track EP. As with the album all profits will be donated to Bowel Cancer UK, Love Hope Strength and The Bowel Movement. I must mention my friend Dave Francis, who has been a great supporter of Fields of Dawn over the last couple of years on Radio Albatross. We were messaging last night, as he had played No Man’s Land on his show last Sunday and I told him I was planning to release it as a single. Dave came up with a great idea to let’s just say add something to the track for the release. More work for me tonight, but I think it has worked a treat. To do what Dave suggested meant I have not just added a couple of extra bits to the song, but have also ended up remixing it too. So if this World War 1 ballad is a track on the album that you like, then you are going to love this version. The plan is to release the EP as a digital streaming and download edition, but maybe also as a very small run vinyl release. Because one of songs on the EP is a cover version, (News At Ten by The Vapors), it does slightly complicate things as far as copyright and the costs involved go. Also I am going to concentrate on the digital release as it is a very affordable addition for those who have already spent a sizable amount of cash on the album. More details to follow, but two of the three tracks are now done š¤š¤
