Show 11 and we’re back on the guitar anthems with a bang. Some big hitting bands with, I suppose, some less obvious choice of tracks by them. Illustrated perfectly by the opening track, which is from Department S, but a more more recent track called Cause from their last album in 2016. The Vapors are always a welcome addition and Letter From Hiro ranks right up there in my list of all time favourite tracks. I found a long forgotten (by me anyway) long version of Snake Dance by The March Violets. New music wise, courtesy of the Punk AF Show, we have the brilliant Pissed On The Bus by The Allergics. One of the requests this week is by Young Romance, which is completely new to me, so my own journey of musical discovery continues, which is a great reason to continue doing this. To finish the show this week, for the first time I am playing a Fields of Dawn track. The current release, Shining Star, is officially released on April 5th (that’s tomorrow as I write this). It is an incredibly personal and important fundraising release in memory of my friend Laura Hopkinson, who died of bowel cancer last November.
