How on earth have we already got to show 4! Each week I am playing about an hour’s worth on the kind of music that I would love to hear on the radio. Rather than search in vein for the elusive programmes it made more sense to make my own radio show. The programme is free to listen to on MixCloud and you can even listen to the show directly at the top of this blog!
Show number 4 is maintaining the high standard already set and the broadcast begins with genius Half Drunk Under A Full Moon by The Fratellis. If you have never heard this song before, believe me when I say that you are in for a treat. It’s a track that is almost worth the free admission price alone! The other 14 songs will keep you listening, many you will know, but maybe some might be new to you and me both! There are a couple of tracks this week that I’ve not heard before. We even have an exclusive first play of the forthcoming new release from AdJon Provocateur. There is Thoughts of a Young Man, originally only ever released on the 12″ version of 68 Guns. I’ve also transferred my 7″ vinyl copy of Hollow Heart by Birdland to digital for inclusion with the cracks and pops included. Over the coming weeks I will hopefully be bringing some more vinyl and cassette recordings to the show. I always try to end with a “big” song and this week that honour has fallen to Carol Hodge and her quite wonderful Silhouettes track from her brilliant Vertiginous Drops album. You can check out the full playlist below. So please give it a listen and let me know what you think, and if there is a track that you would like me to play, then drop me a line.

I am really enjoying putting the show together each week. It’s a great creative outlet for me without the fundraising element, so it’s just something that everyone, including me, can enjoy.
