This morning I bid farewell to the stop bowel cancer bear. We were in the beautiful village of Hambleden at its post office to send the bear on its way. Hambleden is popular with television and film companies for the filming of period dramas such as Midsomer Murders. For those that don’t know me I was an usher at a wedding at the church in the background about 20 years ago – the only time in my life I have ever worn a kilt!
The idea is for this teddy to go on a journey from one person to another and help raise awareness about bowel cancer. Each owner owns the bear for a while and takes photos / videos to be posted on all forms of social media, and I will document the journey in this blog and on my bowelcancerfundraising facebook page. Please use the hashtag #bowelbear and let’s get the bear trending.
Keep an eye out to see where the bear has gone to next…
Why not buy one of your own bears to help raising awareness. They cost £10.99 including P&P from the shop on this rivers2cross.com website. Every penny made is donated to Bowel Cancer UK.
