The response so far to the first new Majority song in 24 years, Shadows & Souls, has been amazing. The first run of CDs sold out way ahead of the release date, so a second run is now being done. Until today only a couple of short snippets of the song had been released, so we are delighted to now being able to bring you the official video. Hopefully you will like both the song and the video. We would love to hear what you think?

We are really happy how the track has turned out. We decided to get this track out there as soon as it was ready, so that we can begin to build the band’s profile after being away for so long. The song is very much a joint collaboration. I might have written the music and lyrics, but Ad’s vision and superb production has been instrumental in creating the sound and direction the track has taken. When we last recorded on a 4-track Tascam Portastudio we worked really well together and over 20 years later the dynamic we have is still there. Very different though as we live 150 miles apart, so it’s all being done remotely at the moment on computers.

I am so excited by this first song, as it is so completely different from any of the music I’ve made with Fields of Dawn and, to be fair, The Majority first time around. It’s an epic recording that comes in at around 7 minutes 30 seconds long!
