This morning I received the official permission from Leicester City FC to share the photographs I took at the King Power Stadium on Friday. The club couldn’t have been more supportive, especially when I turned up and rather put them on the spot. It’s an impressive stadium and my first visit there. I did go to Filbert Street in the 1984/85 season!

The fundraising has now passed £1050 for the Bowelbabe Fund. There have been some amazingly kind donations. A couple of people have bought bears to be given to people in the bowel cancer community, and today a friend in Australia bought a bear and told me not to send the bear but just donate the funds. The kindness from friends and those within the bowel cancer community is quite amazing, and really has had a really positive impact on me during the last week following the devastating news about Deborah.

Today this beautiful pill box arrived. The weekend before last I left my medication at work, and so this little box will hopefully help me avoid doing that again. I put my weekday supply in it to keep at work, and then the rest can stay in my car for the weekend etc. A big thanks to the lovely Natalie, who suggested something that seems obvious, but genuinely hadn’t occurred to me.

I think the weekend that I forgot my pills showed me that I am not quite ready to try and come off the medication just yet. I was definitely more anxious on the two days I went without. This could of course have been psychological, but when I do come off them I will do it only after speaking to the GP.

Until tomorrow, which I believe is going to be a hot one x
