Chapter 12 in The Record really served as a stark reminder to me just how awful bowel cancer is. If there was ever a good reason for buying the book then this chapter is it. Deborah James died on July 27th 2017 aged just 37 leaving behind her young daughter Grace.
It was back in September 2017 that I spent a really nice evening in the company of Deborah James in Richmond for Chapter 16 in The Record. It was a fascinating, and enlightening experience listening to her story, and talking at length about bowel cancer.
