The role that reviews play in getting The Record out to a wider audience is an important part of taking the book forward. In basic terms if people see the book has a high number of good reviews they are more likely to buy it. This is irrational, but predictable behaviour…

I’d love for as many people as possible to post reviews, which can be either put on Amazon for those who have bought the book there, or on my own website for people who have bought the book from me, from rivers2cross, or from anywhere for that matter.

It’s early days with The Record, and so far I’ve had a few of five star reviews, which are wonderful and I am truly grateful. I’d really like to boost the number of reviews though, as stats show that a book with 100 four-star reviews will sell more copies than a book with 10 five-star reviews. Of course spreading the message about The Record will also help to raise awareness about bowel cancer – the second biggest cancer killer in the UK.

So for anyone who has kindly bought the The Record, and not managed to do a review yet, please could you post a review as every one really does help. It will only take a couple of minutes… To post a review on rivers2cross click here, or for Amazon click here.

All the proceeds that I receive from sales are donated to the Bowel Cancer UK with over £600 raised so far, which has pushed the total fundraising to around £10,000 since Mum was diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2012. The Record is dedicated to her memory.

I am also very keen to get The Record reviewed by the media and book reviewers. This has so far proved to be very challenging, especially as I am doing this all by myself without any budget. If anyone reading this has any ideas to help I would be very grateful.
