As we enter the last 24 hours of Decembeard it’s time for an update. So far my justgiving.com page has raised £280, for which I am very grateful. I had such tremendous support for the skydive in the summer, it was not an easy decision to ask people to sponsor me again so soon afterwards. I am taking part in Decembeard to raise money for Bowel Cancer UK in memory of Mum.
Growing a beard has not been much fun. The hair on top of my head grows at an alarming rate, whereas facial hair takes forever. It took over two weeks for any proper growth to show, and the itchy face was something else!
As for the photo of me I’ve taken this afternoon… I had my first attempt at grooming the beard. After all I need to try this, and see what it looks like, before doing a total removal. I think it looks ok, so maybe I might persevere with it for a while longer. I am currently running a poll on my Facebook profile, and at the moment about 59% are saying to keep the beard. A final decision will be made in 2019!
