The last 12 months during a global pandemic have not just seen charities struggling for vital funds, but also the massive impact on patients having treatment changed, delayed or cancelled. There is no getting away from the fact that lives have been lost as a result. April is bowel cancer awareness month, and I intend to do what I can to help raise awareness about bowel cancer. For many people this month will also be a time when they receive a bowel cancer diagnosis. So here is a little of what raising awareness means to me and an introduction to bowel cancer.

2019 in Review

2019 has been has been an amazing year. The fundraising total for the year stands at around £2000. This means that since I began fundraising in 2012 after mum had surgery for bowel cancer around £10,000 has been raised for Bowel Cancer UK (inc Beating Bowel Cancer) and over £450 has now been raised for the Love Hope Strength Foundation.

Prince Makes Two Years

On this day two years Prince was diagnosed with seven slipped discs. He was given a life expectancy of two months to two years. So today he smashes past that and has proven what an amazing dog he is.
