Laura Kendrick sadly died of stage 4 bowel cancer on February 22nd. The #KindnessVsCancer teddy bears are raising funds for Laura’s #KindnessVsCancer campaign, which aims to revolutionise the current systemic approach to cancer care by raising funds for the NHS Oncology teams to receive training that introduces an approach to patient care which places compassion and empathy at the heart of their interactions, from diagnosis through to treatment and beyond. The money raised will be spent on delivering compassionate conversations training and education in NHS oncology teams to understand the mind body connection and its impact on patient well-being. A proportion of funds will also be provided to Hello Beautiful, a charity based in London who offer incredible services for cancer patients, both at their space in London and also virtually. Laura’s husband Grant is continuing with the #KindnessVsCancer campaign. Please check out the www.kindnessvscancer.co.uk website where you can also donate to the campaign.
The teddy bears cost £20 each including postage and all profits raised from every sale will be donated to the KindnessVsCancer justgiving page.
