The Life Of Mique teddy bear in a white t-shirt with a choice of 4 glitter colours is supporting the Go Fund Me campaign for Monique-Lianne Buckingham, known on Instagram as @thelifeofmique. Aged just 26, suffering from bowel cancer, she has no more treatment options available on the NHS. The fundraising will go towards funding treatment for Monique that is not available on the NHS.
The teddy bears cost £20 each including postage and all profits raised from every sale will be donated to the Go Fund Me page.
- Teddy measures approximately 30cm
- Printed in glitzy gold
- Plush toy and not suitable under 36 months
A big thanks to Jocelyn at DMI Embroidery for producing the bears at cost price to enable me to sell them at this great low price.
The Go Fund Me post…
Unfortunately we received the news today that Monique is no longer viable for surgery or any clinical trials due to the obstruction caused by her cancer. The spread is too far gone and she has now exhausted all lines of treatment on the NHS.
As a result of the news today, Monique has now been placed on end of life care and is facing a terminal diagnosis.
However, we have not given up hope just yet. We have been researching alternative treatments, including mistletoe injections which have some clinical evidence backing its viability and success in treating cancerous growths. Monique has also been researching treatments abroad as in her words she “is not ready to face the end just yet”.
The problem we now face is funding the alternative treatments as they are very costly. However if they can provide even a glimmer of hope to help stabalise her cancer, we will take it and push for it.
All donations make a world of difference in enabling us to extend Monique’s life.
No 26 year old should have to face end of life talks. Monique honestly has so much fight and lust for life, she deserves every chance.
