Welcome to, not just my brand new website Rivers2cross, but also to a brand new blog, which is incorporated into the website, so that everything is now all under one roof. I now have total control over everything, and whilst my fundraising will remain focused on Bowel Cancer UK in memory of mum, I now have the flexibility to support other charitable causes, and this was one of the main reasons for choosing the new domain name.
The shop has all the items that I have been selling on my previous website, and more recently the ETSY page. I will have less fees to pay, so I will be able to raise more money. Also for the first time I am able to offer both my books, Beating Bowel Cancer and Lives & Times as eBooks to download.
The amazing thing about this website is I am able to run it for the next three years for around £3 a month, which is fantastic. It’s a WooCommerce site based on Word Press. It’s been fairly easy to put together, and all the tricky bits I have managed to Google, and sort out. I am sure I will change this around and modify over time, but I am really pleased with it, and excited to see how it performs, and what people think.
This blog will keep you updated on the progress of the forthcoming book, The Record, which is now entering its final stages, and also I will be putting personal posts up to as I continue with my journey. Rivers2cross inspired by a song by The Alarm (thanks to Gareth Tregidon for the suggestion). We all have rivers to cross on our journeys..
