The forthcoming acoustic album from Fields of Dawn is scheduled for release in October. The 10-track album features 9 of my favourite Fields of Dawn tracks reimagined with new acoustic arrangements, plus a brand new song thrown in for good measure.
In a time when the world feels like a pretty dark place to be living in, it’s important to remember that there is still so much goodness out there and so many wonderfully selfless people. This beautiful photo was sent to me a few months ago by Kingsley Wood and was the culmination of a wonderful act of kindness by Mike Starner.
Shining Star is a three track EP with the lead track written about wonderful Laura x It is available on Clear Vinyl, CD and Download. I hope as many people as possible will, support this release and help me raise as much money as possible. It may seem a little odd to talk about the end of Fields of Dawn with the forthcoming album being released on New Years Day. However, there are some reasons behind my reasons for calling time on this particular musical venture. Fields of Dawn has been going for almost 4 years and raised around £3000
April sees a brand new music release dedicated to the memory of Laura Hopkinson with 100% of the profits raised by every sale donated to MacMillan and St Oswald’s Hospice. These two charitable organisations, chosen by Laura’s family, provided her with great help and support.
The debut fundraising album from my music project Fields of Dawn was released last September and so far has raised over £1300. A New Dawn is available on vinyl, CD and digital download. Two tracks were recorded with Steve Smiley Barnard of The Alarm at the helm and the other other 9 songs all self-produced. The songs were written by myself and have a punky, alternative, melodic perhaps power pop sound to them. The one track that is the exception to this is No Man’s Land, which is a piano ballad about that legendary football match during World War 1, which also featured on the Reflections EP that came out last Christmas.
