One of the ways things that I would like to try to increase sales of The Record is to sell it at events, especially those with a link to bowel cancer. This would bring me in to contact with a targeted audience, and perhaps give it a better chance of connecting with people affected by bowel cancer. Selling the book is a challenge, but one which I relish, and I am always trying to find new ways of marketing and selling it.

I recently went to the Bowel Cancer UK Patient Day at The Christie in Manchester. It was a really nice day with the bowel cancer community at its friendly and welcoming best. I managed to sell almost a box full of the paperback editions, which made a nice difference to the fundraising total. It was at this event where the idea formed of doing some more events. So if anyone has any ideas or events that might work please let me know.

The Record is dedicated to memory of my who died of bowel cancer on August 29th, 2016. It is the best thing I have ever done in my humble opinion with all proceeds raised from sales donated to Bowel Cancer UK.
